This course is an introduction to the concept of Entrepreneurship. It examines the factors that lead towards entrepreneurial success as well as the skills and behaviours necessary to be a successful entrepreneur.

This course focuses on the financing decisions of entrepreneurs. The course emphasizes identifying and valuing entrepreneurial business opportunities. It addresses how and from whom entrepreneurs raise funds and how financial contracts are structured to manage risk and align incentives and ways in which entrepreneurs “harvest” success and value.

The purpose of this course is to explore business creation and growth as a multidimensional phenomenon in both independent and corporate (intrapreneurship) settings. By linking theory and practice the course aims to provide you an entrepreneurial perspective and a hands-on experience in the development of new business ventures.

The course “Entrepreneurial Management in a Turnaround Environment” covers how to buy or start your own business. It covers the key financial parts of a good business plan.

Entrepreneurship and innovation are increasingly important in all areas of business and government.
